Since the company was founded, Fluvius GmbH has been the contact person for all questions relating to sewer rehabilitation. The range of products includes inversion systems, cutters, refurbishment packers as well as all consumables such as resin systems, liners, glass fiber complexes and products for shut-off and testing technology.
For the majority of the products sold, building approvals from the German Institute for Building Technology in Berlin are available. In addition to the extensive testing of the products, detailed product and system training is also offered to customers on the construction sites. The findings were the basis for the development of a new, optimised remediation process.
The new, light-curing LED short liner system is one of the Fluvius Packer processes specifically developed for the partial rehabilitation of sewers and pipes in closed construction. Damage in pipes with nominal sizes from DN 100 to DN 300 made of reinforced concrete, concrete and stoneware, but also cast iron and PVC can be repaired quickly and of high quality. The pipe sections to be relocated can be up to 600 mm long in a simple process. Larger refurbishment sections are also possible due to overlapping installation.
The LED short liner process uses glass fibre mats, so-called prepregs, which are already impregnated with resin at the factory. The prerequisite for the market launch of the new light-curing LED short liner process was the development of a special resin with low shrinkage behavior, which also ensures an excellent bonding of the materials in the pipe.
The use of the prepregs eliminates the need for manual and time-consuming mixing of the resins and impregnation of the carrier materials on the construction site. The LED packer is covered with the pre-impregnated mat, pushed to the damage site and inflated with predetermined pressure. After 10 minutes of curing using an LED light unit, the damage area is repaired and the packer is ready for further use.
Refurbishment companies not only benefit from a particularly large time and cost advantage, but also work in a process- and result-optimized manner compared to conventional refurbishment. This is ensured by the best resin qualities, precise mixing ratios, optimum impregnation quantities and a defined curing time, which is always the same length of time as specified by the control unit.
Due to the use of a light-curing resin, the process can be used almost independently of the outside temperatures and can therefore be used all year round. In addition, the modular design of the system and the use of high-performance LEDs that do not require active cooling enable uncomplicated and low-maintenance use on the construction site. The procedure was approved by the DIBt by the General Building Supervision Authority /General Type Approval with the number Z-42.3.570. Due to the strong interest of the customers, Fluvius strives to offer system solutions for further diameter ranges and repair lengths in a timely manner.
